1. Not Medical, Legal, or Professional Advice

Compass is an education and safety awareness tool. The information, lessons, ScamCheck™ results, and practice conversations are meant to help you learn. They are not medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, or professional advice.

Compass does not decide whether a relationship, message, person, or situation is safe. It gives information to help you think through your next step.

If you have questions about your health, safety, money, legal rights, or a serious relationship concern, please talk to a qualified professional or someone you trust.

2. Not an Emergency or Crisis Service

Compass is not an emergency service, crisis service, therapy service, law enforcement service, or formal reporting tool.

If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away. If someone is threatening you, pressuring you, asking you to keep secrets, requesting money, asking for private photos, or trying to control you, pause before responding and ask a trusted person for help.

If you are in danger right now, call 911. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), any time, day or night.

3. How We Use AI

Compass uses artificial intelligence, or AI, in a few ways:

• ScamCheck — When you paste a message, add a link, or upload a screenshot, AI reviews it and gives you a plain-language result. We do not save the full content of messages, links, or screenshots in your Compass account or our app database unless we clearly tell you otherwise and you choose to save it.
• Haven — Haven is an AI-powered voice and text practice coach. It helps you practice conversations in a safer space. Haven is not a real person, therapist, crisis counselor, lawyer, or medical professional.
• Lessons and Learning — Some lesson content may be created or adapted with AI to make it easier to understand. Find Love Safely reviews lesson content before it is published.

AI can be helpful, but it is not perfect. It can make mistakes, miss scams, misunderstand context, or flag something that is not actually unsafe. Always use your own judgment and double-check important decisions with someone you trust.

4. No Guarantees

We do our best to keep Compass helpful, accurate, and safe, but we cannot guarantee that every scan, lesson, reminder, alert, or practice session will be 100% correct. No tool can promise that.

Compass is here to support your learning and awareness. It does not replace your own judgment, trusted advice, caregiver support if you use it, appropriate supervision, professional help, or emergency help.

If caregiver alerts are enabled, they are meant to provide extra support, but they may not catch every concern and may not always be immediate.

5. Your Privacy

ScamCheck messages, links, and screenshots are analyzed so Compass can return a result. We do not save the full content of messages, links, or screenshots in your Compass account or our app database unless we clearly tell you otherwise and you choose to save it.

We keep the information needed to operate Compass, such as your account information, plan information, lesson progress, badges, streaks, workshop activity, caregiver settings, and saved scan history if you choose to turn it on.

6. Shared Responsibility

Staying safer online is something we do together. Compass gives you tools, practice, and information, but you are still the one making choices.

If something feels wrong, confusing, rushed, secretive, or too good to be true — even if Compass says it looks lower risk — pause before responding. Talk to a trusted friend, family member, caregiver, or support person before sending money, sharing personal information, sending photos, or meeting someone in person.

7. About the Platform

Compass is built and maintained by Find Love Safely™, LLC in Scandia, Minnesota.

The app uses technology providers that help us operate Compass, process AI features, host the app, send messages, manage accounts, and keep the service working. We are responsible for how we use these tools and what we tell you about Compass.

This page is maintained by Find Love Safely to answer common questions about how Compass works and what to expect. It is not a certification, endorsement, audit, or independent review.

8. Age Requirements

Compass is designed for adults age 18 and older. It is not intended for children or teens under 18.
